Picenum Seraphicum is a Diamond Open Access journal, which, in full compliance with the latest European standards, promotes free access to the publication of scientific content and its use by all interested parties. L’articolo si focalizza sulla figura del Minore Osservante Valentino Pacifici di Montecarotto così come emerge da documentazione inedita conservata presso la Biblioteca storico-francescana e picena “San Giacomo della Marca” e la Biblioteca comunale “Luciano Benincasa” di Ancona. La galleria dei frati marchigiani fondatori di biblioteche si arricchisce per i secoli XVI-XVII della figura di Valentino Pacifici che va ad aggiungersi a Francesco Venimbeni (secoli XIII-XIV) e san Giacomo della Marca (secolo XV).
Abstract in English
The article focuses on the figure of the Observant Minor Valentino Pacifici of Montecarotto as it emerges from unpublished documentation preserved in the Biblioteca storico-francescana e picena “San Giacomo della Marca” and the Biblioteca comunale “Luciano Benincasa” in Ancona. The gallery of Marches friars who founded libraries is enriched for the 16th-17th centuries by the figure of Valentino Pacifici, who joined Francesco Venimbeni (13th-14th centuries) and san Giacomo della Marca (15th century).
