Abstract in italiano
Abstract in English
Starting from Antonio Talamonti’s monograph about the Montecarotto’s convent, present in the Cronistoria dei Frati Minori della Provincia Lauretana delle Marche, its history has been explored in depth with a focusdedicated to its library. Through the recovery and rereading of the documentation already known to Talamonti it was possible to verify better the history of the conventual library; therefore, thanks to the discovery of new sources, important elements on the book culture of the convent have been added. Finally, it was possible to identify manuscript and printed specimens in current conservation institutes.
