It is well known that medieval thinkers have often discussed philosophical topics in the context of theological w ritings. Following this practice, Francis of Marchia examined questions related to physics in his Commentary of the IV Book of the Sentences, in which his famous Impetus theory can be found. In this work, he examined other questions related to the philosophy of nature, and, more specifically, he developed the topic of the multilocation of bodies, under stood
as the possibility that a sing le body occupies various places simultaneously. This contribution is aimed at offering a first analysis of the solution of Francis of Marchia to this question. Through a very subtle argumentation, Francis defends the pos sibility of multilocation of physical bodies, thus going beyond the rules of the Aristotelian physics.
