This paper examines the debate in the historical-educational field that has emerged from conferences, study seminars, and academic meetings promoted by the University of Florence, or in which scholars from the Florentine academic community have participated as organizers or speakers over the past fifty years in Italy. This is a preliminary mapping, certainly not exhaustive, reconstructed through the analysis of news and articles published in contemporary printed and archival sources.
