This contribution aims to provide a summary of the national and international research projects and numerous scientific conferences organised and co-organised by the group of historians of education affiliated to the Centre for Documentation and Research on the History of School Books and Children’s Literature (CESCO) at the University of Macerata between 2002 and 2022. The aim is to identify the main areas of intervention of the historiographical research promoted by Macerata’s historians of education and to define the contribution made to their rooting within the national and international scientific community, through the presentation of a detailed review of the main initiatives promoted during the first two decades of the 21st century.
