Privacy Statement

The collection of users' personal data (whether or not they are registered to Picenum Seraphicum) is limited to the operational needs of the journal, which is standard practice for all peer-reviewed scientific journals. Only essential information for evaluation and publication procedures is collected, as well as information to inform readers about the ownership and processing of content. The data is used exclusively for scientific communication purposes and to analyse, in anonymous and aggregated form, the preferences and origin of readers.

Picenum Seraphicum uses the data to manage its workflow and improve the quality of the journal. Some of this data may be shared in anonymous and aggregated form with OJS (PKP) developers, but it will never be used for commercial purposes or for purposes other than those indicated.

Authors are responsible for information relating to individuals mentioned in their scientific contributions. The journal's management complies with data protection standards, including the provisions of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding “data subject rights”, which include (a) breach notification; (b) right of access; (c) right to be forgotten; (d) data portability; (e) privacy by design. The GDPR also recognises the public interest in the availability of data, which is particularly relevant for all those committed to ensuring the public visibility of scientific research products with the greatest possible integrity.
