This paper reconstructs the origins and evolution of Marxist pedagogy within Roman academia. It focuses on two of the most significant stages in this process. The first phase is exemplified by the studies of Mario Alighiero Manacorda and Angelo Broccoli at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy and the Magistero, respectively, both at the University “La Sapienza”. The second phase is the valorisation of this legacy at the University of Roma Tre from the 2000s to the present day.
