In the late nineteenth century, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce was responsible for managing the education for the industrial arts. Upon reading the documentation that resulted from the activities that were interconnected by the Division of Industry and Commerce at the time, it becomes clear about its ultimate purpose: that is, to link the future of professional schools to the working world as well as to the sector of the handcrafted production. The education for the industrial arts found a prompt expression and valorisation in a series of national and international events, including overseas, supported by private and reference public authorities regularly and consistently. Suffice it to mention the numerous expositions and the related documentation produced by the offices in charge, which prove the students’ involvement with their artworks and aircraft in the context of these exhibitions.
