In the academic year 2021-2022, we carried out an in-depth study on the post-unification Italian artistic foundry industry at the Polytechnic University of Milan, within the History of Art course in the three-year architectural design course. Several resulting conceptual maps contribute to give an overview of a wide represented reality and of its aknowledgement. The small survey is part of the inter-institutional thematic project promoted by the University of Teramo, Roma Tre University and the Polytechnic of Milan, and refers methodologically to a previous similar project of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and the Polytechnics of Milan and Turin, focused on the magazine “Arte Italiana Decorativa e Industriale”.
