Abstract

This article aims at analysing how taught courses in History of Education at the University of Florence changed from 1968 to nowadays. On the basis of archival as well as bibliographic sources, the paper is going to show that throughout 1990s courses in History of Pedagogy, which were initially focused on the study of pedagogists’ ideas, were gradually replaced by courses in History of Education. Such shift promoted closer links with historical studies.
