Abstract

Both the new name for «Storia contemporanea in Friuli» and the choice of Edizioni Università di Macerata as publisher are intended to reposition the journal within the context of contemporary studies and also within the overall activities of the Friulian Institute for the History of the Liberation Movement. The overall aim is to make the journal available as open access, in addition to its print version, with the ultimate goal of reaching a wider readership. For several years, we have aimed to broaden its scope from the regional dimension to a national on and, potentially, an international one. The name «Analisi storica» also aims to emphasize the role of the journal within the activities of the Institute. The journal serves as a space to disseminate original research, especialy papers of an analytic character. It is intented as a specialised forum bringing together scholars and researchers, fostering historiographical debate as well as providing insights for educational and outreach activities in general.
