Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Privacy Statement

Data Management and Privacy Policy

User data collected by the journal, whether from registered or unregistered users, falls within the scope of the standard operations of peer-reviewed journals. This data includes only information necessary to facilitate the editorial process, to inform readers about authorship and the content modification process, and to gather anonymous, aggregated data about reader behaviors. It also tracks geopolitical and social aspects of scholarly communication.

The editorial board uses this data to manage workflow and improve the quality of the journal. Some of this data may be partially shared with OJS (PKP) developers in anonymised and aggregated form, with exceptions such as metrics related to submissions. The data will never be used for commercial purposes or for purposes other than those described here, either by the journal nor by PKP.

Authors publishing in the journal are responsible for any data relating to individuals mentioned in the research underlying their scientific contributions.

Journal’s management strives to comply with industry standards for data confidentiality, including the provisions of the European Union’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) concerning on “data subject rights”, which include:

  • (a) Notification of breaches;
  • (b) Right of access;
  • (c) Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
  • (d) Data portability;
  • (e) Privacy by design.

The GDPR also recognises the public interest in data accessibility, which is particularly relevant for those ensuring the highest possible integrity and public visibility of scientific results.
