The article describes the historical, cultural, and pedagogical profile of the journal «Il Ponte», founded in Florence by Piero Calamandrei in 1945. From its very beginning, the journal stood out for its multidisciplinary approach, addressing political, cultural, and social issues, as well as more marginal aspects of daily news, interpreted through a critical and civic lens. Although not explicitly pedagogical, «Il Ponte» has served as an important source for Italian historical-educational thought, thanks also to its ties with figures such as Aldo Capitini, Tristano Codignola, Antonio Santoni Rugiu e Raffaele Laporta. The text highlights themes and debates related to historical-educational reflection that have produced an important cultural contribution within the Florentine context but have also been a driving force of influence at the national level.
