Abstract

During 2024, historiographical production devoted to contemporary history in the Friuli region mainly focused on World wars and the history of the Resistance. Notable output covering the post-war years includes company history, entrepreneurs’ biographies, landscape and urban studies. The local historiographical production focused on the subjective and collective dimension – biographies, diaries and memoirs, community stories. These works explore the long-term development of associations and institutions, highlighting their vitality and grassroot dimension.
