Resumen

Alongside the older “Ius Privatum”, the “Ius Publicum” was developed into an independent academic discipline in most European countries in the 16th century. In addition to a description related to each country, however, common features of a “Ius Publicum Europaeum” were increasingly dealt with. The description of the sovereign rights of legislation, constitution and jurisdiction reveal identities in terms of content, concept and function, which can be described as the “old Ius Publicum Europaeum”. This is contrasted with the new “Ius Publicum Europaeum”, which the handbook with the same title edited by Armin von Bogdandy e.a. dealt with for the “European Union” from 2007-2019.
