Abstract

The article outlines civilization, ethnicity and citizenship as key factors that shape human personality and behavior in modern global environment with special focus on religious and cultural affiliation of an individual which if changed can lead to dramatic developments in the life of a person. In the author’s opinion, Christianity is not just a confession but a cultural civilization, or even ideology that gave rise to such basic human values as justice, freedom, respect for a personal dignity and life. In addition, such interconnected yet distinct concepts as ethnicity and citizenship play the fundamental role in the life of any person. They constitute the basic categories laying ground for civil, social and political rights of an individual.
