Aggiornamenti sulla forma urbana di Sentinum (Sassoferrato - AN): nuove indagini geofisiche

Abstract

This paper is on the results of geomagnetic prospectios undertaken in
August 2022 within the area of the Roman town of Sentinum (Sassoferrato - AN). The
main aim was to map the full extent of sub-surface archaeological features within the
archaeological park and the neighboring properties to get an update overview and a
more detailed plan. The integration of the data collected through geophysical survey and
archaeological excavations give a more better picture of the areas. This article presents
the data collected through gradiometer survey and its archaeological interpretation
leading to a complete city plan, integrating the evidence from the 2003-2004 surveys
carried out by the University of Genova.
