Abstract

L’intento di questo lavoro è di capire come i “miti aerei” del Novecento siano stati assimilati e come, oggi, essi vengano affrontati dalla mediazione letteraria. Le ricostruzioni relative alla storia del volo seguono due differenti direttrici: o si basano su vicende personali (Langewiesche) o si rifanno a quello che accadde ai pionieri del trasporto aereo (Lindbergh ed Earhart).

The task of this written work is to understand how the “twentieth century myths” about of the airplanes have been assimilated and how, today, they are addressed by the licterature. The reenactments of the history of flight following two different directions: or personal stories (Langewiesche) or are based on what happened to the aviation pioneers (Lindbergh and Earhart).
